Watching my sister grow up riding inspired me to try riding at the age of 4 and I haven’t looked back since. My first horse was a rescue at the age of 10 that I rode and trained for my local 4-H club. This taught me the work I needed to put in and the determination it takes to have a horse. I began competing continuously on the AQHYA circuit at age 11 and my first youth world show was at age 13. My current trainers are Stephanie McAlexander and Anne Shafer. My competition highlights include Pinto Horsemanship World Championship, MQHA Rookie Reserve Grand Champion Horsemanship, and AQHYA two time World Equitation Finalist.
I am currently finishing my Sophomore year at Baldwin High School and focusing very hard on my academics, with a 3.71 GPA. When I’m not showing my horses, I compete on my school’s varsity volleyball team, varsity dance team and enjoy being with my family and friends.
Competing on a college equestrian team would validate all my time and hard work I’ve put into my horses. I am very passionate about finding the right college to pursue my nursing career and competing on an NCAA Division I Equestrian team. I am truly blessed by the equestrian world to what it has all taught me and what will soon be my future. I cannot wait to commit to my future equestrian team!
